These are some excellent websites with free (unless otherwise noted) resources. I use many of them frequently with my students and children. More to come!

Illuminations: Resources for teaching math: This website offers lesson plans, games, and apps. It is very well organized by grade level as well as specific skill. You can sort by NCTM or Core standards.

Intervention Central: This site is designed for struggling students, but also quickly generates review materials that can be used at home. For example, create a dolch sight word list based on students'/child's level. Generate a math facts worksheet.

IQ Interactive Quizzes: Free released SOL test items turned into online quizzes. This is an excellent resource to use prior to SOL testing. Tami Maloney has sorted the quizzes by subject and grade.

File Folder Fun: This website offers file folders for grades pre-k - 5th grade. They are sorted by grade and by subject. There are also blank templates to create your own games!

Sheppard Software: Lots of learning games with a variety of subjects. Grades Pre-k - adult are listed, but few games have material appropriate for older children and adults.

Brain Pop: Lots of educational information in the form of videos and review quizzes. There is also a section for educators with lesson plans alligned to standards. Brain Pop Jr. is geared toward younger kids.

Education.com: Activities, games, and worksheets. This is my go-to website when I need a worksheet on a specific topic.

1001 Books in ASL: Books are signed "voice off" but the translator interprets stories while mouthing each word.

National Geographic Kids: exclusive shows and videos, fun facts about animals, science, and nature. Also has games.

Tumble Books: Thousands of children's books read aloud with original text and illustrations

School Sparks: School readiness worksheets for young children.

Homeschool Creations: Lots of printables for early learners. I use her workboxes with my own children as a visual schedule and they will be used over the summer for daycare.
